Everybody has a story to tell and no-one knows that better than Michele Bellantoni, Christina Cirillo and Nivia Viera, the founders of Kids X-Press, Inc. After coming together on a school newspaper that Bellantoni and Cirillo started at a local school, the three then combined forces and embarked on the founding of an organization dedicated to giving children a forum through which they could express themselves. Kids X-Press was the result of this effort and was founded on the principle that every child has a story to tell.
With Bellantoni focused on developing the Kids X-Press Workshop, Cirillo designing the magazine and extra publications and Viera engaging in community outreach, the three very quickly found themselves working with thousands of children from many different backgrounds and abilities. The spirit of Kids X-Press comes from this variety and is nurtured through our outreach programs and workshops. When Bellantoni and Cirillo left the organization in 2004, Viera continued to grow the mission of the organization and assumed the position of publisher until her retirement in 2015.
Today, this award-winning magazine has a quarterly circulation of over 250,000 and has published the works of more than 2 million children.
