Kids X-Press Begins the VOICE OF…Series!
With our Winter 2012 Edition, Kids X-Press began an idea that has developed into a working concept for the new generation of our organization.
"The Voice Of… "series builds on the success of the inaugural New Orleans edition where we partnered with organizations like New Orleans Outreach, YAYA, and ReThink to get kid generated content. The youth of New Orleans had plenty to say about their educational system and how they believe they are the education experts, the environment in which they live and how they can make it better, and the business of art and how it has changed their lives and how it can change yours as well.
While Kids X-Press magazine has been available in the New Orleans area since 2009, this is the first time the content has been generated exclusively by local youth.
Kids X-Press wants to give that same opportunity to the children of other cities.
"The Voice Of…" series is about giving voice to youth in various cities around the world and create their own magazine. The idea of reaching out to different communities to learn about the opinions, experiences, and stories of diverse youngsters is an exciting initiative. We sometimes underestimate the power of words from youth and Kids X-Press continues to change that.
