One of my favorites foods is chinese dumplings.
A dumpling is ground meat and chopped vegetables
in a dumpling wrapper made of dough. Dumplings
are a popular food for chinese new year as wel as
al year round, I like to eat dumplings al year around.
Making dumplings is a fun activity for our family.
I make the dumplings and my parents cook them.
Dumplings can be cooked 3 ways- steamed, boiled
or pan fried. I like pan fried the best.
Dumplings are my favorite because they are fun to
make and they taste good.
This is the traditional fil ing for Chinese dumplings.
You can substitute finely chopped shrimp for the pork
for better texture or flavor. Serve this with an assortment
of condiments (soy sauce, rice vinegar, black vinegar,
chili sauce, sesame oil,chopped scal ions) and mix up
your own dipping sauce.
1/2 lb. ground pork
2 cups napa cabbage, chopped
3 tsp. soy sauce
